Full Featured
A free trial copy of SystemBlend is exactly the same as a fully licensed copy of SystemBlend: All features are enabled, and all capabilities are available.
The only difference between a free trial copy and a fully licensed copy is the license file supplied by Blend Dynamics, LLC. The license for a full-featured copy is perpetual, but the license for a trial copy expires after 30 days.
Low Risk
SystemBlend has been carefully designed to easily fit into any distributed Simulink project. A side-effect of that is that it can be easily removed from any project.
If you work with a trial copy of SystemBlend and decide not to purchase a full license, you can easily remove it from your project and from your workflow, and still retain all of the engineering effort you have put into your project.
To further reduce your risk, Blend Dynamics offers full support with each free trial, as described next.
Full Support
A free trial copy comes with full support from Blend Dynamics. If you have any support needs, Blend Dynamics will be eager to provide it. This can include answering questions, installation assistance, training, or general support issues.
This full support extends to you, your staff, and the staff of any organization supporting your distributed Simulink development.
Install Without IT Support
In some organizations, getting trial software installed requires support from the IT department, making the effort prohibitive. If you elect to install a free trial of the Client/Server variant of SystemBlend, the server can be installed by your staff, even if they don’t have full SysAdmin privileges. Due to the security systems in Windows and Linux, there will be some limitations in how it is configured and deployed, but it will have full features and capabilities.
Of course, if the server is installed by your IT staff, it will be a full installation without limitations.
If you elect to install without SysAdmin privileges, then later decide to formally deploy it, there is a straight-forward process to update your installation, move it to server hardware, and reconfigure it for production.
